scope:

PURPOSE To implement NPD 1371.5 and NPG 1371.2 by prescribing procedures and guidelines for extending invitations to foreign nationals or representatives to visit Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), and for receipt, coordination, and approval and disapproval of all requests by foreign nationals or foreign representatives for visits to MSFC for any purpose other than a tour of facilities generally open to the public. APPLICABILITY This Directive applies to all organizational elements of MSFC regardless of location. This procedure does not include visits by foreign heads of state or government, ambassadors, and heads of foreign government ministries or space agencies, foreign national members of the public information media, or VIP tours. These visits are still coordinated and approved by the Office of External Relations, NASA Headquarters.
