This standard establishes general principles for attesting the conformity of portable fire extinguishers to EN 3-1, EN 3-2, EN 3-3, EN 3-4, EN 3-5. It specifies methods for type testing and control during manufacture. The attestation of conformity may allow the manufacturer to request certification of his product from an accredited certification body.
