Performance Requirements for Pressurized Flushing Devices (Flushometers) for Plumbing Fixtures
|Publication Date:||1 January 1990|
This standard establishes physical requirements, basic performance requirements, and test procedures for pressurized flushing devices for the safe, sanitary operation of plumbing fixtures.
While this standard covers the performance requirements for pressurized flushing devices and describes these performance requirements in terms of methods of test applicable to all such units, a number of different materials, designs and methods of operation may be used to meet these requirements.
This standard establishes basic performance requirements for pressurized flushing devices, for the safe and sanitary operation of plumbing fixtures. Its purpose is also to serve as a guide for producers, distributors, architects, engineers, contractors, home builders, manufacturers, and installers; to form a basis for fair competition, and to provide a basis for identifying devices that conform to this standard.
