This standard specifies requirements for packaging of robust, electrical relays, relay controllers and solenoids including ancillary items (nuts, bolts, washers and contact inserts), to Military Levels P, N and J.

This standard covers only those relays, relay controllers and solenoids which have a minimum fragility factor of lOOg,, a maximum mass of 2 kg and a Primary Package Quantity (PPQ) of one. When the contract or order specifies a PPQ greater than one, the Services Packaging Instruction Sheet (SPIS) shall follow the principles of this standard.

NOTE: This standard does not cover the packaging of items identified as being electrostatic discharge sensitive devices.
