scope:
Purpose.
To establish policies and procedures for the prevention and control of alcohol and drug abuse within the Department of the Navy (DON), under references (a) through (k) and to establish responsibility for their execution. To establish DON policies to prevent, control, and document incidents of impaired driving under reference (b). This instruction is a complete revision and should be read in its entirety.
Applicability.
This instruction applies to all Navy and Marine Corps active duty personnel and members of their Reserve components on active duty or inactive-duty training.
