This specification sets forth the requirements for a compact numerics generation conversion equipment which, when interfaced with the TPX-42 decoding equipment and with the BRITE TV display system, will provide the air traffic controller with aircraft identity and altitude numerics data. The numerics generation conversion equipment will provide high quality (no smear) numerics to be displayed on the tower cab BRITE display. Modifications to the TPX-42 equipment and to the BRITE equipment will be designed for rapid on-site installation and will cause no degradation of the displayed radar information.
