Purpose

This regulation prescribes-

a. Signs and symbols used to mark physical hazards.

b. Color combinations that have been found effective in preventing accidents and improving production, visual perception, and housekeeping.

c. The types of hazards that will be uniformly marked throughout the Department of the Army.

Applicability. This regulation applies to the Active Army, US Army Reserve, and Army National Guard.
