This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for one grade of polyalkylene glycol based fluid suitable for use in worm and spiral bevel gears and in transmissions incorporating a hydraulic steering system. The product is suitable for use over the temperature range minus 40 to plus 150°c.
Caution: This fluid is not compatible with mineral-based oils and is not to be used in hypoid gear systems. It may have a deleterious effect on some elastomers and paint systems.
