Lacquer Polyvinyl Alcohol for Fuzeheads, Type QX

inactive, Most Current
Organization: MODUK
Publication Date: 7 January 1994
Status: inactive
Page Count: 11
scope:

This INTERIM Defence Standard specifies requirements for a polyvinyl alcohol lacquer, type QX, suitable for binding compounds or coating fuzeheads.

The designation 'Type OX' indicates that the material is suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established, and Design Authorities should seek advice on particular applications from the Head of Energetic Materials and Terminal Effects Department, Defence Research Agency, Fort Halstead, Seven oaks, Kent, TN 14 7BP.
