Polyvinyl Alcohol for Lacquers Type QX

inactive, Most Current
Organization: MODUK
Publication Date: 10 January 1994
Status: inactive
Page Count: 11
scope:

This INTERIM Defence Standard specifies requirements for a polyvinyl alcohol, type QX, suitable for use in the preparation of lacquers, polyvinyl alcohol, for fuzeheads.

The designation 'Type QX' indicates that the material is suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established, and Design Authorities should seek advice on particular applications from the Head of Energetic Materials and Terminal Effects Department, Defence Research Agency, Fort Halstead, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN14 7BP.
