This specification covers requirements for deep submergence electrical connectors for submarine applications. These connectors will be capable of operating within a hydrostatic pressure range of zero pounds per square inch gage (p. s. i. g. ) to 10,000 p. s. i. g. This specification also covers accessories for these connectors, such as protective caps, watertight caps, and pressure-proof molded cable seals.
intended Use:
Connectors described under this specification are used primarily on submarines outboard of the pressure hull.
