This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for the packaging of rigid, flexible or preformed rubber or plastics hose and hose assemblies. It is applicable to Military Levels L, P, Primary Standard, Restricted Standard and Full Level requirements of Def Stan 81-41.
The following types of hose and hose assemblies are covered by this Standard:
Hydraulic and pneumatic.
Chemical and gas (including airborne breathing systems).
