This Standard relates to compressed felts mainly of wool in a range of thicknesses, fibre compositions, densities,and chemical puritg,and of a quality suitable for ammunition purposes.
The designation type QX indicates that the material is of a quality suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement.
