a.This Standard relates to compressed felts mainly of wool in a range of thicknesses, fibre compositions, densitie6,and chemical puritg,and of a quality suitable for ammunition purposes.
b. The designation type QX indicates that the material is of a quality suitable for certain applications where a high degree of Compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, its compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established, and Design Authorities should therefore seek advice from:
