scope:
The equipment specified herein is a solid-state snow-depth measurement system, consisting of two sensor units and a system controller. It is designed to measure snow depths ranging from 0.0 to 36.0 inches as a replacement for the existing glide slope near-field monitor. The system operates and interfaces with the existing glide slope monitoring unit such that the glide slope station will be caused to shut down when the snow depth exceeds a preset level. The system also communicates with the Remote Maintenance Monitoring System (RMMS) and reports the status of many internally monitored parameters.
