The standard specifies the quality requirements for plain end longitudinally welded austenitic stainless steel tubes manufactured from steel types listed in table 3 which are applied for pressure purposes at room temperature, at low temperatures or at elevated temperatures in cases where the creep properties are not the ruling characteristics for design.
