scope:
PURPOSE. The purpose of this document is to establish a comprehensive calibration and metrology program which provides for the management of standards; inspection, measurement, and test equipment; and test software in a controlled process. This procedure is to define the method and responsibilities for the control of Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment (IM&TE) at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) to meet the requirements of MPD 1280.1, "Marshall Management Manual."
APPLICABILITY. This Directive is applicable to all Center organizations and to all on-site contractors performing work under the MSFC Quality System or this Directive.
