This Defence Standard (DEF STAN) covers the construction, identification and testing requirements of a range of sub-miniature and small multicore cables. The cables are designed to replace those in DEF STAN 61-12 Parts 4 & 5 with constructions having a wider useful temperature range and enhanced fire hazard performance and is applicable to:
HM Surface Ships and Submarines;
Ship Systems and Equipment and Weapon Systems and Equipment.
