scope:

This Standard applies to single- and multi-conductor Type RA90 cable having a maximum temperature rating of 90°C in both dry and wet locations and intended for installation in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code (CE Code), Part I.

Cables covered in this Standard are intended for use on systems having nominal voltages up to 5000 V, except for 2-conductor, parallel, smooth aluminum sheathed cable, which is limited to 600 V.

Type RA90 aluminum sheathed cables covered by this Standard consist of a seamless, smooth aluminum sheath or seamed or seamless, corrugated aluminum sheath applied over one or more insulated conductors. An optional nonmetallic overall covering may be applied over the sheath
