This standard specifies requirements and methods of test for single-ply tubing of polyamide (as in DIN 73378) for use in the air braking systems of road vehicles and trailers (cf. definitions in DIN 7001 O). The polyamide materials covered by this standard (cf. clause 6) are resistant to ageing under normal service conditions (i.e. the working pressures and temperatures specified in tables 2 and 3), and, when not under pressure, for three hours at 125 °C.

This standard does not apply to tubing connecting trailers to the tow vehicle.
