This NES relates to the requirements for the procurement and supply, to Naval Stores, of Aluminium Alloy Tubes for use in HM Ships and Submarines.

The tubes defined by this NES are not suitable for use as guard rail tubes.

As items 0282/738-5872 and 0282/738-5873 may be manufactured from the Bridge/Porthole technique, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are they to be used or considered for fluid transfer.
