This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the seamless steel tubes used in casing tubes, core tubes and drill rods for drilling (hereafter referred to as "tubes"), which are used for test-drilling or drilling of hot springs, wells or mines, etc. This Standard is usually applicable to those of 43 mm to 142 mm in outside diameter for casing tubes, 34 mm to 180 mm in outside diameter for core tubes and 33.5 mm to 50 mm in outside diameter for drill rods.
