Dieser Teil von IEC 61300 legt zwei grundlegende Messverfahren für die Charakterisierung der spektralen Übertragungsfunktion von DWDM-Filterbauteilen fest.

Die Übertragungsfunktionen sind die Funktionen der Übertragungsabhängigkeit von Wellenlängen. In dieser Norm werden auch optische Dämpfungen verwendet.

ANMERKUNG In dieser Norm werden die Übertragungsfunktionen durch T(λ) ausgedrückt und die optischen Dämpfungen durch A(λ).

Die Übertragungsfunktionen können für Messungen der Einfügedämpfung (IL), der polarisationsabhängigen Dämpfung (PDL), der Trennung, der Mittenwellenlänge, der Bandbreite (BW) und andere optische Betriebsverhalten verwendet werden.
