Scope of application
DVS test specimens made of thermoplastics for ultrasonic welding and their manufacturing, welding and testing conditions are described in this supplement.
The ultrasonic welding must be carried out with reference to the DVS 2216 ff. technical codes, if necessary in agreement with the raw material supplier and/or the machine manufacturer. In order to obtain comparable test results, it is necessary to comply with the described testing conditions.
The results may be used as the starting point for the optimisation of the procedure with regard to the ultrasonic welding of series parts made of thermoplastics
