Acceptance of building installations - Heating

active, Most Current
Organization: VDI
Publication Date: 1 September 2011
Status: active
Page Count: 32
ICS Code (Central heating systems): 91.140.10
scope:

The guideline applies to heating systems including the subsystems heat delivery, heat distribution and heat generation.

The scope of examination extends to all devices for

  • heat delivery (to the room and at heat exchangers),
  • heat distribution,
  • heat generation,
  • building automation,
  • fuel supply and/or storage,
  • flue-gas routing, and
  • disposal.

The guideline contains general principles for the examination of heating systems and also serves to harmonise acceptance procedures. It can be used in the context of technical specifications and contract negotiations with regard to heating systems and as a supplement to terms of contract. It is recommended to use this guideline as a basis for acceptance tests as defined by the German Civil Code.

The overall examination of heating systems subdivides into the check for completeness (compliance with the technical specifications) and the functionnal check of all components. The overall examination is performed using customisable checklists, which are given in this guideline for the main components of heating systems. The description of the components applies analogously to components not described in this guideline.
