VDI 4201 BLATT 2

Performance criteria on automated measuring and electronic data evaluation systems for monitoring emissions - Digital interface - Specific requirements for Profibus

active, Most Current
Organization: VDI
Publication Date: 1 July 2014
Status: active
Page Count: 12
ICS Code (Ambient atmospheres): 13.040.20
scope:

VDI 4201 Part 2 specifies the specific requirements for the realization of a digital interface on the basis of the Profibus profile [1]. It details the general performance criteria on digital interfaces for data exchange between automated measuring and electronic data evaluation systems for monitoring emissions specified in VDI 4201 Part 1. The requirements of the present standard are used together with the requirements of VDI 4201 Part 1 in performance tests of automated measuring and electronic data evaluation systems equipped with digital interfaces on the basis of the Profibus profile.

Note: VDI 4201 Part 2 is based on the Profibus profile for Process Control Devices [1].

VDI 4201 Part 2 meets together with VDI 4201 Part 1 the requirements of the Uniform Practice in Monitoring Emissions (Bundeseinheitliche Praxis bei der Überwachung der Emissionen) and of DIN EN 15267-3 with respect to a complete description of the digital interface in the relevant standards and guidelines.

VDI 4201 Part 2 may be applied only in conjunction with VDI 4201 Part 2.
