scope:

This guideline applies to qualifications of Category A, Category B and instruction Category C as required by VDI 6022 Part 1; in addition, it specifies further training to become a VDI-certified specialist engineer having Category RLQ qualification as required by VDI 6022 Part 1.1 and Part 3. It describes the contents of courses and the requirements to be met by the qualifications for the purposes of guideline VDI 2163 (in future: VDI 6022 Part 7.1) and guideline VDI 6022 Part 1, Part 3 and Part 6. In view of the requirements specified in VDI 6032 (in future: VDI 6022 Part 2), this series of guidelines will be supplemented by a separate part dedicated to training. In detail, the following contents are described:

• qualification categories and target groups

• minimum qualification requirements to be fulfilled by training providers, experts and course participants

• contents and outline conditions of trainings, instructions, demonstrations and practicals

• examination requirements

• certificate of participation, or VDI certificate of the skills and competences obtained and respective limitations for the various hygiene-relevant activities

The qualifications to Category A, Category B and instruction Category C are independent of each other. The further training to become a VDIcertified specialist engineer, RLQ, is based on the successful passing of the Category A examination.
