VDI 2262 BLATT 3

Workplace air - Reduction of exposure to air pollutants - Ventilation technical measures

active, Most Current
Organization: VDI
Publication Date: 1 June 2011
Status: active
Page Count: 111
ICS Code (Workplace atmospheres): 13.040.30
scope:

The purpose of this guideline is to provide planners, manufacturers and operators of technical installations with data for reducing exposure to air pollutants at the workplace, through the use of ventilation methods.

Given the wide range of different operational circumstances, it is impossible to deal with every case that occurs in industry or in the trade. This guideline offers general notes and suggestions for effective and at the same time economical solutions. The methods described and recommended in it can be used both for irritants and for substances harmful to health. As defined in this guideline, this includes all gases, vapours, mist, smoke and dust released during a production process. Where flammable dust that is explosive when mixed with air is produced, the guideline VDI 2263 and the Explosion Safety Directive GUVR 104 (Ex-RL) should be observed. For some special substances (e. g. radioactive materials), additional regulations and guidelines should be taken into considerations.
