scope:
This standard is applicable to the cutting of thin sheets of up to 2,99 mm thickness and medium sheets of between 3,0 mm and 4,75 mm thickness.
In view of the broad spectrum of sheet grades used and the resulting requirements for the designing of the segments, the scope of this standard shall refer to sheet grades having a tensile strength up to 500 N/mm2 maximum.
Special design criteria are to be considered for sheet grades in the high-strength and maximumstrength range.
