VDI 7000 is directed at organisations in general, their responsible boards and executives, project managers, engineers, lawyers and communication specialists or stakeholder representatives, who plan industrial or infrastructure projects that may be, now or in future, of public interest.
The standard addresses all private and public organisations, regardless of their size, that execute or plan industrial or infrastructure projects in any form that are relevant to the public.
It can be implemented independently of the type of legally prescribed planning and approval procedures.
