This Standard specifies the determination method of the adhesion strength of the composite comprising two plies of fabric bonded with vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber, or fabric and vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber bonded together.

This Standard is applicable to the composite to be tested being a plane or a cylinder- shape exceeding 50 mm in inside diameter.

This Standard is not applicable to the composite having sharp curve or angle. Also, this Standard is not applicable to the adhesion test for the vulcanized rubber- or plastics- coated fabrics and conveyer belts specified in JIS K 6404-5 and ISO 252.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows:

ISO 36 : 2011 Rubber vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of adhesion to textile fabrics (MOD)

The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
