This Standard specifies the terms and definitions relating to chains, sprockets and accessories used for transmission and conveyance.
NOTE 1 While the corresponding International Standard gives only terms and related drawings, this JIS standard additionally provides definitions to all the terms given.
NOTE 2 The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
ISO 13203 : 2005 Chains, sprockets and accessories - LIST of equivalent terms (MOD)
In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
