scope:
Purpose. To establish Department of the Navy (DON) policy to prevent the introduction of counterfeit materiel into DON systems. This instruction implements the requirements of references (a) through (i).
Applicability. This instruction applies to all DON organizations. It applies to all phases of life cycle management, from identifying an operational requirement, introducing an item into the supply chain, system operations and maintenance, through phase out and retirement.
