Applicability and Scope. This instruction covers Federal civilian employees and military service members. Service member applicability is determined at the discretion of the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) and the Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC). This policy does not apply to Federal contractors. Purpose. To establish policy, assign responsibilities, and identify requirements for the Department of the Navy (DON) telework program. Guidance in this policy is in alignment and is consistent with the provisions of enclosure (1), references (a) through (r).
