PURPOSE
This Marshall Work Instruction (MWI) establishes the
instructions for requesting and providing acquisition, kitting,
storage, inventory management, and control services for
flight-designated, qualification and MSFC project's associated
hardware parts, components, and subassemblies throughout Marshall
Space Flight Center (MSFC) Logistics Services Office (LSO), Flight
Hardware Support Operations (FHSO) as permitted by NPR 1400.1. The
FHSO is specifically designed to provide dedicated support for MSFC
flight projects and maximize the effectiveness of project engineers
and scientists by reassigning and minimizing nonengineering-relat
APPLICABILITY
This MWI applies to Center personnel, programs, projects, and activities including contractors and resident agencies to the extent specified in their respective contracts or agreements. ("Contractors" for purposes of this paragraph include contractors, grantees, Cooperative Agreement recipients, Space Act Agreement partners, or other agreement parties.)
This MWI does not apply to Michoud Assembly Facility.
