This standard is intended for practical experts mainly from small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME) of the painting industry. It provides an overview of economic and ecological measures for optimizing painting processes.
Painting processes can in general be counted among the organic surface coating processes. This standard therefore puts its focus on the process step of "paint application", e.g. in spray booths, and the subsequent steps of "paint curing" and "drying". Painting pre- and post-treatment processes, such as cleaning, are not dealt with in this standard.
