scope:
This standard prescribes the requirements for new issue portable fire extinguishers for use on all London Underground rolling stock. Serviceable extinguishers that are compliant to LU specification G6000 A3 may continue to be used until they become unserviceable, life-expired or are refurbished. Unserviceable and life-expired extinguishers shall be replaced by fire extinguishers compliant to this standard.
This standard replaces engineering specification G6000 A3.
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to define the technical requirements to which portable trainborne fire extinguishers must comply when used on any London Underground rolling stock.
