scope:

This Standard specifies the preformed gaskets (hereafter referred to as "gaskets") made of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic to be used in buildings. It applies to the following products:

a) Gaskets for use between external structural members

b) Gaskets for use between internal structural members

c) Gaskets used for attaching glasses or the like to door sets and sashes

d) Gaskets for use inside the frame and inside and outside the stiles around door sets and sashes

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
