Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt die Messung der Mindestanforderungen an die Leistungsfähigkeit für Radio-Data-System-Empfänger (RDS-Empfänger), die drei Produktkategorien von RDS-Empfängern betreffen. Jedoch sollte beachtet werden, dass es im Markt auch RDS-Empfänger-Produkte gibt, die die erwähnten Mindestanforderungen an die Leistungsfähigkeit für RDS-Empfänger erheblich übertreffen.

Verfahren und Algorithmen zur automatischen Stationsfolge mit Hilfe von AF-Listen sind jedoch sehr kundenund herstellerspezifisch, daher wird dieser Punkt in dieser Norm nicht behandelt
