This standard covers jet grouting operations for the purpose of enhancing the water impermeability of soil, rock and backfill.

This standard does not cover:

- the associated drilling work (see DIN 18301),

- grouting other than jet grouting (see DIN 18309). 

DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18321 shall take precedence.
