This standard covers general requirements relating to the supply of material or components. The requirements contained in this standard do not in any way over-ride any requirements of QS 9000 or the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

Where an Engineering Drawing note conflicts with a HN Material Specification requirement, the Engineering Drawing notation shall take precedence.
