MODUK - DEF STAN 59-47
Conformal Coatings for Panels, Printed Circuit and Panels, Electronic Circuit
Organization: | MODUK |
Publication Date: | 26 April 1991 |
Status: | inactive |
Page Count: | 32 |
scope:
This Defence Standard defines the general requirements and provides a system for the control of quality for conformal coatings suitable for application to printed circuit assemblies.
The material covered by this Defence Standard is a thin transparent continuous contour coating applied to printed circuit assemblies to provide an electrical insulating protective barrier against deleterious environmental conditions. The thickness of the cured coating is within the range 0.010 to 0.075 mm, except for deposited from the vapour phase coatings which are within the range 0.005 to 0.020 mm.
This Defence Standard does not include tests for special applications which will require extended testing for Qualification Approval eg altitudes in excess of 20,000 rn and extended temperature limits.
