This standard specifies dimensions and symbols for withdrawal sleeves with tapers 1:12 and 1:30.

Withdrawal sleeves conforming to this standard are used for mounting rolling bearings with a tapered bore of 1:12 or 1:30 on cylindrical seats of stepped shafts.

Self-aligning roller bearings conforming to DIN 635-2 shall preferably be used. The bearings are dismounted using a withdrawal nut that is screwed onto the sleeve thread.
