scope:
Purpose.
To publish policy for executing reference (a) specific to judge advocates in their first assignment following completion of the Naval Justice School (NJS) Basic Lawyer Course (BLC), including revised guidance applicable to their utilization and rotation at their first Naval Legal Service Command (NLSC) unit. This instruction cancels reference (b) and memorializes the unification of nomenclature for judge advocates: the term "First Tour Judge Advocate Program" shall no longer be utilized. All officers in the NLSC community will be referred to as judge advocates.
