Publication Date: 26 August 2008
Status: active

scope:

This procedure does not cover personal safety requirements.

This procedure is for the corrective maintenance of Network Rail direct maintained signalling assets. Assets owned by another function but have corrective maintenance undertaken by signalling (e.g. Hot Axle Bearing Detectors) are also covered.

For corrective maintenance to right on arrival and repeat failures, the process in NR/L3/SIG/SG0139 should be followed.

For corrective maintenance to wrong side failures, the process in NR/L3/SIG/SG0138 should be followed.

This procedure does not cover preventative maintenance; this is detailed in NR/L3/SIG/SG0053.

This procedure applies to you if you are involved with the management and delivery of corrective maintenance on signalling equipment.

Purpose
