scope:
This standard specifies minimum bolt end protrusions for general purpose assemblies of bolts, screws and similar fasteners with ISO metric screw thread in accordance with DIN 13-28, and with tapping screw thread in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1478.
The bolt end protrusions specified here shall ensure the full load bearing capacity and functioning of the nut (internal thread).
The bolt end protrusions specified in this standard do not apply where different bolt end protrusion standards have been specified in specific application or product standards.
