This section sets forth the structural/mechanical requirements for the design of the Microwave Landing System which physically will not tolerate colliding impact forces without collapsing. It also establishes the requirements for the design and the testing of the "break-away mechanism" to insure that they have the desired characteristics of being capable to withstand the dead loads and the environmental loads; yet separate cleanly on impact.
