Der vorliegende Teil der IEC 61300 beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Messung der Abweichung und der Repro-duzierbarkeit der Einstellung der Dämpfungswerte eines einstellbaren optischen Dämpfungsgliedes (VOA) (en: variable optical attenuator). Es gibt zwei Regelungsverfahren für VOAs, und zwar die manuelle Regelung und die elektrische Regelung. Das vorliegende Dokument gilt für beide Regelungsverfahren von VOAs und gilt auch sowohl für Einmoden- als auch für Mehrmoden-VOAs.
