scope:

This Standard specifies the unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) pipes and impact-resistant unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) pipes (hereafter referred to as pipes) used mainly for piping to convey general fluids. Among these pipes, however, the unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) pipes for water supply are specified in JIS K 6742
