This section of IEC 598-2 specifies requirements for recessed luminaires for use with tungsten filament, tubular fluorescent and other discharge lamps to be installed and used on branch circuits not exceeding 750 V and used in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. This section does not apply to air-handling or liquid-cooled luminaires.
